How will I work with your data?
The law changed in relation to General Data Protection Regulation in May 2018. It is important that you know how I will look after your data.
I keep your contact details including name, contact numbers, email address and a brief outline of your presenting issue eg: ‘work-related stress’ and this information will be kept by me in a locked filing cabinet. I also keep your contact details electronically and I will contact you by email and mobile phone during the time that we are working together.
I keep brief notes to assist me in our work together. These are kept in a locked filing cabinet in my private premises. My notes are handwritten and a reference number is used instead of the client’s name. I will keep my notes for seven years in line with BACP’s guidelines for record keeping and these are then destroyed. The notes I keep will not be shared with anyone.
I am registered with the Information Commissioner Office. Reg No: ZA356403
